FAQ

How much does it cost to commission a new musical work?

It depends! I take many things into consideration when setting a commissioning fee, including instrumentation, length of work, performance level, use of contemporary techniques or notation, timeframe, and special requests. At the end of the day, prices are negotiable.

Does Mr. Arnoldy conduct or teach?

Yes! I am trained as a composer, conductor, educator, and performer. I love working with all musicians, from students to professionals. In the past, I have worked with various musical groups as a guest composer, conductor, or teacher.

I want to perform one of Mr. Arnoldy’s works. Should I contact the composer?

Absolutely! I love to hear that you are planning a performance of one or more of my works! If I know about your performance, I can promote your performance on the website as well as work with you to make sure you are within your legal performance rights.

I have purchased your music. Do I have the rights to perform or record the work?

Most education ensembles are covered by copyright law for performances. Otherwise, performance rights may need to be obtained or paid for by the ensemble or the venue of performance. If you are wanting to record and release my music, contact me!
